Sarajevo Concert Hall, Bosnia - shortlisted competition entry
The design for a Concert Hall with two halls of 1500 and 500 seats respectively, was developed for an international competition. From a total of 920 entries we were one of five teams shortlisted to go through to the second stage of the competition. The competition was being promoted within the framework of the 9th edition of the Biennale of Young European Artists, and had been jointly organized by the Municipality of Rome and the Sarajevo Canton. Total budget was 44 million German Marks.
The Concert Hall was to be located in the centre of Sarajevo, right opposite the Parliaments building, which had suffered severe damage during the war.
